New data released at noon Saturday by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) shows that seven new cases of the novel coronavirus were confirmed Friday to Saturday, bringing the state’s total number of confirmed presumptive cases to 21.
As of March 14, there have been 868 tests with 21 positive results. Friday saw the biggest increase in testing so far, with 313 additional people tested for COVID-19.
On Friday there had been 14 positive tests out of 555 tests, a rate of 2.5 percent. Saturday’s figures show 21 positive tests out of 868, a slight dip to 2.4 percent.
Counties with cases: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Olmsted, Ramsey, Renville, Stearns, Wright. That means Renville County has its first case.
